1900<\/h2>\n
The origins: Jean-Baptiste Lancelot and L\u00e9on Royer<\/div>\n

In the early 20th century, Jean-Baptiste Lancelot, head winemaker for the Mumm house in Cramant, and L\u00e9on Royer, a basket weaver in the village of Oger, began cultivating vines.<\/p>\n\n

Both these fathers passed on their passion for viticulture to their sons, Jean Lancelot and Raoul Royer, unaware that their efforts would be united by their grandchildren.<\/p><\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n

The next generation: Jean Lancelot and Raoul Royer<\/div>\n

Jean Lancelot, who was also a distiller in the 1930s, and Raoul Royer decided to cultivate the vineyards they inherited from their fathers. Raoul Royer was a member of the Les Grappes d\u2019Or cooperative in Oger.<\/p>\n\n

After World War II, Jean Lancelot purchased the family's 1st<\/sup> press and marketed his first bottles.\nThe family's passion for Champagne was born\u2026<\/p><\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n

Pierre Lancelot: From Father to Son<\/div>\n

Pierre Lancelot, son of Jean, and his wife Fran\u00e7oise Royer, daughter of Raoul, founded a house guided by their vision for the Champagnes of the C\u00f4te des Blancs.<\/p>\n\n

They combined the vineyards they inherited from their parents and built the facilities necessary for their production around their house. \nThis marked the birth of Champagne P. Lancelot-Royer.<\/p><\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n

1996<\/h2>\n
An ongoing family transition<\/div>\n

When Sylvie, Pierre's daughter, and her husband Michel took over the estate in 1996, they established a commitment to continue the existing work, expand the range, and develop wine tourism.<\/p>\n\n

They also modernized their production equipment, including a press and a labelling and packaging facility, and expanded the cellar carved into the chalk to increase storage capacity.<\/p><\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n

A New Generation, A Fresh Perspective<\/div>\n

Since 2023, a new chapter is being written with the arrival at the estate of \u00c9douard, grandson of the founder, and his wife Marie.<\/p>\n\n

They are committed to perpetuating the family tradition by producing a high-quality Champagne, faithful to the house's identity. They also wish to continue their wine tourism activities by providing their clients with an increasingly comfortable discovery and tasting experience.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n \n \n
